- Perform due diligence checks on new customers when required to do so.
- Manage the company's interface using customs authorities.
- Checking cargo according to customer documents ( Packing List)
- Assist in the implementation and control of any new legislation or client requirements.
- Assume other responsibilities as assigned
- Responsible for determining and following CFS , CBP and OGA/PGA requirements (licenses, certificates, etc.)
- Create CFS / CBP SOP and enforce protocols.
- Ensure the highest compliance levels for all customs and government agency requirements across all staff and teams.
- Responsible for execution of the processes in the area of responsibility, following operational standards (OPS) and KPI expectations
- Oversee entry auditing and reporting results and recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure that company's controls, policies, procedures, processes, and applications are all understood by the team and implemented accordingly.
- Ensure that all internal audits are completed and carried out as per client requirements.
- Provide ongoing training to keep up with changing trade compliance policies, this will involve attending seminars and conferences.
- Must have minimum 5 years experience in similar role
- Proficient in WMS, ABI, ACE/AMS Software
- Experience with P&L responsibility and managing budgets preferred.
- Experience interacting with various stakeholders, including customers, customs authorities, shipping agents, and government agencies.
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
