    Description

    Who We Are:

System Administration, which also houses the Office of the President, is located in the uptown neighborhood of Denver with a few smaller offices located on the campuses.

Many of our departments support the educational and research missions of the four University of Colorado campuses, but System Administration is not considered a campus.

We provide diverse opportunities for professional development, innovation, and collaboration with talented staff and faculty. Learn more about CU System Administration.

The CU System Office of Advancement provides excellent customer service, strategy, expertise, and efficiency to our partners on CU's campuses and at the University of Colorado Foundation.

We support CU's fundraising and engagement goals through advancement operations that include constituent research and development, data management, business intelligence, technical architecture, annual giving, planned giving, gift administration, marketing and communications, IT, budget and finance, and more.

We believe that a healthy office culture is foundational to our success.

We create this by bringing together a diverse team of colleagues and infusing our core values—Work Together, Think Big, Be Good and Have Fun—into our work every day.

    Position Summary:

The IT Business Analyst at the University of Colorado office of Advancement holds a pivotal role in driving efficiency and success within our IT operations.

This position involves analyzing and translating IT-related business needs into actionable insights, functional specifications, and user stories.

The role encompasses conducting thorough analysis of IT processes, collaborating with key partners to capture requirements, and ensuring seamless alignment between IT solutions and business objectives.

Additionally, the position serves as the Scrum Master for our Center of Excellence (COE) teams, guiding them through Agile methodologies and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement in the delivery of IT projects.

The ideal candidate possesses a blend of strong analytical skills, IT business insight, understanding of Agile practices, and the ability to facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical teams.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the optimization of IT operations, drive innovation through technology solutions, and play a key part in the success and growth within our organization.

This position is exempt from the State of Colorado Classified Staff system and reports to the Senior Director of Advancement IT.

    Where You Will Work:

The CU System Office of Advancement follows a "flexibility first" approach to work that defines how we manage and make use of in-person time.

As a fully remote position, this role will work remotely with the exception of four separate callback weeks per year— when all our colleagues are expected to be together in the office.

During callback weeks, this role is expected to work from the CU System office at 1800 Grant St. in Denver, Colorado. Any additional in-office time will be determined by the manager for this role.

The university strives to promote a culture of inclusiveness, respect, communication and understanding. We encourage applications from women, ethnic minorities, persons with disabilities, persons within the LGBTQ+ community and all veterans.

Work with customers to examine specific use cases against vendor-delivered products, vet interpretations, document decisions, and maintain an up-to-date repository of such information.

Negotiate conflicting or unprioritized requirements with partners. This may include holding meetings to deliberate on solving specific problems, identify risks and manage technology-related restrictions.
Lead issue resolution and support activities with customers.
    Project & Planning Participation
