Description
Under the direction of the Director, the Business Analyst, Cultural & Linguistic is responsible for managing and coordinating analysis projects that support AltaMed's Cultural & Linguistic Department strategic initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Health Admin, Business Admin, Public Admin or related
- Required
- Masters in Public Health, Health Admin, Business Admin, Public Admin, or related
- Preferred
- 5 years minimum of experience in analysis of healthcare operations, clinical quality, or financial data Required
- Experience with Reporting/ Healthcare software, Epic, Tableau, Excel (Advanced)

Essential Job Functions
- Gathers and manages patient demographic, and utilization, clinical quality and health care data for analysis and reporting.
- Conducts formative research and evaluation for quality analysis.
- Applies needs assessments strategies to establish measures and track metrics
- Analyzes external health industry benchmark data to determine AltaMed's comparative performance in clinical quality, cost efficiency, and patient experience.
- Leads and manages data analysis projects, including use of quantitative or predictive analytics that support AltaMed's integration, growth and maximizing value strategic initiatives.
- Reviews health policy and health care industry information sources to stay current and inform key stakeholders on emerging health care industry issues.
- Creates summary and detailed informational reports and presentations for AltaMed leadership and management to support business decisions that enable AltaMed to achieve its strategic goals and objectives.
- Supports the development of manuscript and publications that will raise the profile of AltaMed in the C&L industry.
- Cultivates and maintains partnerships and collaborations with internal and external business partners.
- Assists members of AltaMed's Business Intelligence community and other departmental team members in accessing and analyzing health care data and information.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Work is sedentary involving sitting at a PC for long periods of time.
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, reach, lift (up to 10 pounds), bend, etc., hand and wrist dexterity to utilize computer.
- Travel required to sites/program and special functions
Skills and Abilities
- Comprehensive understanding of health care business operations.
- Focused use of data and information, include quantitative and predictive analytics to drive business decisions in a transformational health care environment
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex ideas in practical and relatable terms.
- Technically proficient in the use of data analysis and reporting systems and software (i.e., SPSS)used for presentation of information and analysis.
- Use qualitative and quantitative methodologies for evaluation of strategies.
- Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple time sensitive projects.
- Efficient in completing tasks and projects, effectively balances speed and quality in allwork.
Pay:
$80, $90,000.00 per year
