Contract - 12+ Months Contract with Possible Extension

Location - Boulder, CO

Experience - 9+ Years

Experience/Qualifications:

Minimum:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. A combination of education and/or relevant experience as described below may be substituted for the degree on a year for year basis.

6 - 12 months' experience collaborating on Business Analysis assignments.

Experience working in complex policy and organizational environments

Experience in process mapping and solution idea generation

Competencies/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong interpersonal skills-

Excellent listening, written and oral communication skills

Organized, Detail-oriented, Adaptable and calm under pressure

Ability to learn and get up to speed thoroughly and quickly.

Preferred:

Familiarity working within with Asana

University/Higher Education Experience

Business Relationship Management experience

Project Description:

This project will establish a Program and Project Management Office for the purpose of positioning the department with the information, tools and expertise required to meet the leadership goals of reimagining our approach to our work, fiscal responsibility and better utilization of technology and resources. The foundational effort will scale the use of project management principles and Asana work management software piloted in the Marketing and Content Strategy group to every employee. By aligning the full team on the Asana platform we will improve interdepartmental communication and collaboration that will increase the consistency and efficiency of our work. It will also provide visibility into the status of ongoing work to enable leadership to prioritize efforts and identify opportunities for improvement.

Objective:

Onboard employees and workflows to Asana and mature the department's Project Management Maturity Model (PMMM) level from 1-2 (Initial Process/Some Structured Process and Standards) to 2-3 (Some Structured Process and Standards/Organizational Standards).

Success Criteria:

1. All employees are trained on using Asana for work management.

2. All employees are trained on basic project management best practices.

3. 80+% of the work done by employees is managed in Asana.

4. The work of this project is completed on-schedule and on-budget.

5. leadership has the foundation to access the information needed to prioritize resources and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency and collaboration

Resource Requested:

A business analyst who can identify areas where an organization can improve efficiency and strengthen business processes. They gather requirements, document business processes, evaluate solutions, and can help manage change. The business analyst will prioritize the onboarding of users, building processes and creating reports. The addition of a business analyst will increase the rate at which workflows can be mapped and set up in Asana. They may also be able to make suggestions for process improvements and reporting (data), however their primary focus will be to build Asana workflows that reflect the current state.
