    Preconstruction Project Coordinator - Denver, United States - Facilitates

    Description
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Professionally represent GH Phipps and effectively support Company strategic initiatives
    • Establish and foster positive long-term relationships with internal customers and business partners
    • Execute GH Phipps policies and procedures
    • Embraces a lean culture and work environment
    • Assist with job start-up and project file set-up in accordance with GH Phipps processes and procedures
    • Actively manage subcontractor database
    • Support subcontractor relationship through assistance with bid documents, addendum submissions, invoicing, etc.
    • Prepare team for bid day; collet and organize bids, prepare room order lunches, run bids as needed
    • Generate, proofread and edit documents in compliance with Company standards
    • Responsible for preparation/distribution of sub/supplier bidding documents, Letters of Intent, Subcontract/Purchase Order Agreements and related documents project contractual attachments.
    • Preparation and review of hard bid documents; procurement of Bid Bonds;
      • review and facilitate SBE/DBE participation.
    • Be responsible for advertising of projects in public journals; newspapers.
    • Preparing and organizing Proposal/Estimate Books for Owners/Architects.
    • Prepares initial subcontractor logs; prepares and distributes weekly preconstruction activity updates.
    • Mass communication of information to solicited subs/suppliers.
    • Responsible for all correspondence, i.e. Invitations to Bid to Subs/Suppliers, transmittals, miscellaneous letters, etc.
    • Maintains catalogs and literature for reference as well as materials required to assist estimators with successful project completion.
    • Subsequent telephone contact to make sure projects have adequate coverage.
    • Maintaining or organizing prequalification statements and new requests for prequalification by subs.
    • Support Departmental activities for meetings, bid days, or other company special events.
    • As a safety sensitive position, complete adherence to alcohol and drug use policies set by company
    • In-person, predictable attendance at assigned location
    EDUCATION

    Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent. Two-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent technical field preferred.

    EXPERIENCE

    Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in construction or engineering project support or equivalent

    SKILLS
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to prioritize work and communicate with multiple parties on varying tasks.
    • Proficient with MS Office software and PC operations.
    • Communication skills including listening, verbal and written skills
    EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
    • Verifiable work references demonstrating exceptional accomplishments, leadership, and communication skills
    • Successful completion of post-offer background & drug screens
    The salary range for this position is $43, ,000annually and is dependent in experience and title/rank of position offered.
