**Director, Transportation**
The Director - Transportation manages all day to day functions within the transportation department and manages store deliveries through 15 Pool Distribution Sites. The position is responsible for managing the 3rd party relationship of the pool providers as well as 3rd party relationships with consolidation facility providers to ensure that they are compliant with established Tuesday Morning processes and procedures.
**Responsibilities include:**
Supervise daily operations of up to 15 remote Pool Distribution facilities to include, but not limited to:
+ Delegation of work
+ Performance evaluations
+ Corrective action
+ Daily, Weekly, Monthly performance feedback
Plans, schedules, and meets daily transportation goals within set budgetary requirements.
Manages the transportation of our overseas imports and the relationships with our 3rd party providers.
Develop and execute plans to support Inbound / Outbound transportation and companys business planned growth.
Facilitates the flow of merchandise from vendors to store delivery up to 7 days per week dependent on volume and business need.
Maintains staffing levels to support efficient operations.
Maintains and strengthens internal/external customer supplier relationships.
Develops and maintains strong working relationships at all levels:
+ Peers within transportation.
+ Human Resources
+ DC General Manager / AGM
+ Senior Director Supply Chain
+ Assets Protection
+ HQ Personnel / Store Personnel
+ Vendors / Carriers
Responsible for the on-boarding and training of all existing and new employee and 3rd party providers.
Responsible for completion of projects / tasks as assigned by Leadership.
Responsible for the department budget and the overall distribution budget.
Attends meetings as appropriate to represent department and/or facility.
Builds and maintains a work environment that is positive and is supported by open feedback and two-way communication at all levels.
**Skills and Certifications:**
Bachelor degree preferred
3+ years of Transportation / Logistics Supervision essential
3+ years of Transportation / Logistics Management preferred
Experience with overseas imports preferred
Excellent verbal and written communications skill
Strong Microsoft Office Skills
