    MISSION:
    The Lead Assembler provides day-to-day leadership for a designated area/cell with efficient and effective manufacturing tools, processes, and procedures.

    This position ensures the proper utilization of human and equipment resources to meet customer expectations, is the support for assembly of Auto Parts based on production schedules by following assembly instructions and procedures and is responsible for cell set up, labor assignment and material handling.


    Hours:
    3:30 pm - 12:00 am, Monday - Friday (Overtime Required)

    OUTCOME:
    Leading the assembly teamLead and direct manufacturing efforts of Industrial AssemblersWork with Operations/Quality support functions to ensure all production processes, tools, and equipment are operating and meet Quality System RequirementsContinuously evaluate and recommend improvements to production processes and associate performance to ensure that processes are producing quality products for customersFoster a positive climate and safe working environment that promotes associate well-being and team effectiveness across the organization for improved business resultsParticipate or lead other projects or assignments as neededVerify part quality by using calipers, check lists and other quality tools if neededSet up equipment and cells using set up instructions2)


    OUTCOME:
    Quality built into the processInterpret visual aids and work instructions, and adhere to quality proceduresProduct Lifting, packaging, and movingEnter data into Enterprise Replenishment Program (ERP) system when requiredPerform material transfers in ERP system when necessaryWorking knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle and/or Microsoft D365)3)

    Inventory AccuracyPick and stage assembly materials to fulfill the production needs Perform quality inspections of assembled parts and record resultsMake decisions based on training in quality and productivityPerform basic problem-solving skills and machine troubleshootingUse of scale for weigh-counting component partsSort non-conforming material4)


    OUTCOME:

    Additional DutiesTrain to and follow established lean manufacturing processes and proceduresAbility to stand; walk; use hands to grip, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

    The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
