    Description
    We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Designer or Engineer to join our government group in Albuquerque. The primary focus of this position is to support active contracts with local national laboratories within New Mexico. Successful candidates must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a security clearance.

    The qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Electrical design, applying industry knowledge to projects such as laboratories, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing, educational, government and commercial facilities.

    In this position, the ideal candidate will have experience in electrical design, equipment selection, electrical plan layout, coordination with other consultants and team members, and client interaction, as well as a diploma and/or certification from an accredited drafting technology program or equivalent work experience in CADD modeling within Revit and AutoCAD.


    Other requirements include:


    Minimum 3 years of Electrical design experience in the consulting engineering business Experience with Revit, AutoCAD and other design related softwareEIT or PE a plusExcellent problem solving skillsStrong personal ambition and work ethicCommunicates well verbally, in writing, and graphically, with other engineers, clients, and code authorities Knowledge of various Building, Electrical, and energy conservation codesCreate, read and interpret Electrical systems, drawings and specificationsDevelop and design within a BIM design environmentCollaborate with the internal and external project team to execute a project from concept to completion including meeting attendance, site visits, response to RFIs, submittal review and responsesTravel to jobsites throughout the state and regionBridgers & Paxton is one of the top 100 Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Technology Consulting Engineering firms in the nation with a reputation for superb design services.
