    Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility.

    We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 100 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

    What Youll Do:


    Collaborate with Archer stakeholders to conduct required testing of integrated propulsion systemsManage competing priorities for lab usage to best support Archers company goalsBuild, maintain, and operate test capabilities within the Integrated Test Organizations dedicated labs.

    (Propulsion, HIL, and Systems Integration Labs)Post process test data with Design Engineers, System Engineers, and Reliability Engineers to identify design critical operating modes and create design validation test plansInnovate Archers testing processes by implementing test system designs or productivity improvementsInvestigate issues discovered during testing to determine root cause and drive product improvementsInstall and remove aircraft propulsion components on test standsUtilize data acquisition HW/SW to execute component acceptance testingDocument results of test in manuals and reportsWhat You NeedBS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or related field8+ years of experience conducting physical testing and analysis of mechanical or electronic systems against detailed requirementsExperience leading and driving technical projects to completionExperience with a diverse range of test instrumentation devices (e.g.

    pressure, strain, temperature measurement)Basic working understanding of electrical circuit design, mechanical engineering, power electronics, motor drivesExperience with electrical test equipment, hand tools, power toolsBasic computer skills, including the ability to use provided software for data analysis and reportingWind tunnel testing or rotor/propeller test experienceBonus QualificationsExperience with object-oriented coding language and data acquisition toolsExperience with component, system, or vehicle validation testing (FAA DO160, or equivalent)Experience with Python, MATLAB, NI, or other data acquisition and analysis software.

    Experience with HV systems and safetyExperience with integrated system communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, RS485 etc.)At Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business.

    We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Companys business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $148,000 - $160,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
