Kyle Kumar

My name is Kyle Kumar and I am a software engineer. I am passionate about creating elegant and efficient solutions to complex problems using a wide range of software languages and technologies.

I earned my Full Stack Engineer Bootcamp certification from the University of California, Irvine, where I gained expertise in HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, React.js, Redux, Node.js, and Express.js. Additionally, I have applied agile methodology principles like TDD (test-driven development) in developing dynamic applications that successfully interact with both backend and frontend elements. I also utilized MySQL technologies such as Sequelize ORM to create comprehensive database models for data manipulation using SQL queries.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Computer Science at California State University, Fullerton. My relevant coursework includes Financial Accounting, Micro- & Macro-economics, Calculus, Statistics, Financial Accounting, Finance, Computational structures, Data Science Foundations, Business Analytics, and Marketing Strategy. I hold certificates in HTML/CSS, Node.js and Express, React.js, SQL, and NoSQL Databases.

In terms of work experience, I have worked as a math tutor, where I tutored students part-time in math subjects, including probability theory, linear algebra, dynamical systems, and analysis. I also worked as a customer service representative at Planet Fitness, where I developed strategic marketing plans utilizing digital platforms and worked with customer service database software. I was also an iOS Quality Analyst intern at Flavor360, where I developed and executed manual and automated tests on iOS applications using Appium framework, investigated bugs, and performed compatibility checks for multiple devices by establishing virtual UAT (User Acceptance Testing) environment. I am currently a Software Engineer Intern at XK3 Software, where I have worked with a wide range of software languages and technologies, including Java, C++, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and Python.

In terms of leadership experience and activities, I was the Leading Full Stack Engineer for Food For Thought at UC Irvine, where I implemented a React-Redux frontend with AJAX API calls to fetch data from the backend server and developed an MVC web application architecture using Node, Express, and MongoDB for storing recipes. I also worked as a Leading Full Stack Engineer for Oh, my Books! at UC Irvine, where I built a book review web application using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript on the React.js framework.

My skills include proficiency in Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), Python, Tableau, Excel, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL. I am a quick learner and am always eager to expand my skillset. I am also an excellent problem-solver with strong analytical and communication skills.
