Conduct business operations for Land Development
Plan, direct, and manage land development activities including planning, design, and development
Develop policies for usage, sale of properties and the construction schedule
Create budgets for the construction of the entrances, lots, amenities and associated infrastructure for company communities, including road, drainage, water, sewer, landscaping, utilities, paving, amenities, etc.
Communicate the status of development projects to the other team members
Work well with city inspectors and third-party contractors
Review plats and engineering plans pertaining to land development
Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
Ability to travel overnight
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises two or more employees in the Land Development Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or ExperienceBachelor's degree from a four-year college or universityFive to seven years of related experience and/or trainingMust have a vehicle and a valid drivers licenseMust drive extensively between development sitesAbility to develop cost-effective solutions as challenges ariseAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applicationsProficiency with MS Office and emailPreferred QualificationsStrong written and verbal communication skillsCreative thinking and attention to detailProblem solving and time management skillsWork well within a team
