    Beyond TalentEdge is Greater Rochester Chambers for-profit staffing division, connecting businesses with talent through a variety of staffing solutions, including temp-to-hire, direct placements, and payroll services, empowering businesses to build robust, flexible teams.

    Authentica, our screening division, provides reliable background screening and verification services.

    With a focus on integrity and accuracy, Authentica enables businesses to make informed hiring decisions, mitigate risks, and maintain a secure work environment.

    We are seeking qualified candidates to join our team for the following position:

    *Business Development Representative


    This position will contribute to the growth of Beyond TalentEdge by prospecting and soliciting new customers for the staffing division as well as for Authenticas screening division.


    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Research and generate new leads through diverse channels such as cold calling, business directories, web searches, internal database, networking, and targeted marketing, emphasizing the value of Beyond TalentEdge and Authentica services.
    • Work closely with Director, Recruitment Services and Director, Background and Drug Screening, to develop target lists of potential prospects.
    • Drive and funnel new qualified leads into sales pipeline and manage 30/60/90-day pipeline expectations.
    • Secure meetings with potential clients.
    • Work with Director, Recruitment Services and Director, Background and Drug Screening to prepare, develop, outline, and align service offerings in preparation for client meetings.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs, and providing solutions to meet those needs.
    • Based on client meetings, providing appropriate service recommendations and/or according to clients specific requirements, provide service agreement.
    • Document all sales prospects, meetings, outreach in ATS system and sales tracker.
    • Maintain contact throughout the year with active customers for retention/customer service satisfaction.

    Education, Experience and Qualifications:

    • Bachelors in Business Administration or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience preferred in the staffing and/or screening industries
    • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within the staffing and/or screening industry.

    • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving abilities, and time management skills.
    • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently while still being part of the team.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to do internet research on potential clients.
    • Valid drivers license, own transportation, and willingness to travel a majority of the time.
    • Organized with strong attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication.
    *Additional Notes

    • This is a full time exempt position scheduled to work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
    • Greater Rochester Chamber offers competitive benefits including health, dental, vision, 401k, HSA/FSA, sick days, vacation days, volunteer time, tuition reimbursement, and more.
    • Pay will consist of base plus commissions. Annualized base pay range of $45,000-$60,000. Commissions and incentives will be based on achievement of revenue targets.
