    We are seeking a talented and experienced UX leader to lead our User Experience Dept.

    You will own the digital user experience across websites and apps.


    You will manage a team including junior to senior level interaction/UX designers, visual/UI designers, content strategists and editors, and program managers, along with external vendors.

    You'll be supported by a customer-centric culture and helping to shape how we transition towards a fully digital experience

    Responsibilities include:

    • Lead and develop the teamo Define the team mission and valueso Increase the team's design maturity and form a center of excellence for UXo Set an example of advocating for the customer and demonstrating empathyo Build and expand team capabilitieso Support mid-term planning activities such as hiring needs and advocate for resourceso Determine when to use in-house designers versus vendors, and transition work from vendors to fully in-house over timeo Provide feedback and coaching on design work and team member performance.o Determine levelling and grade evaluationso Mentor designers, develop career paths and nurture team member growtho Prioritize UX programs, projects, and backlog, and ensure on-time deliveryo Analyze customer feedback and prioritize UX improvements backlogo Foster a culture of learning and provide resources for upskilling
    • Provide design direction and determine UX processo Set and own the UX strategy, and create a vision for the overall digital user experienceo Align with Customer Experience strategyo Develop and implement a human centered design process including design thinking methodologieso Lead and facilitate critical thinking to uncover root problems and analyze causeso Lead design crits and reviewso Push ideas further and encourage innovationo Lead the creation of overarching design principleso Direct usability research efforts and processo Ensure quality work from in-house team and vendorso Determine vendor relationships and oversee contracts and Statement of Worko Direct the creation and usage of an enterprise design systemo Stay up to date on UX best practices and industry trends
    • Manage partner and stakeholder relationships and evangelize UXo Facilitate collaboration with product, research, development, customer experience, in-vehicle design, and marketing teamso Align UX roadmaps with product, CX and development roadmapso Advocate for the UX team and resources neededWho we are seeking:

    Required Work Experience:

    • 10+ years of experience in UX design
    • 3+ years of experience leading UX and stakeholder teams
    • Experience working in an agile environment

    Required Education:

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • MBA or graduate degree in design, human computer interaction, or similar a plusDesired skills:
    • Thought leader in UX design
    • Knowledge of all UX disciplines
    • Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling abilities
    • Critical thinking skills, including curiosity, open-mindedness, reasoning, inference, and problem identification
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to keep the team on track
    • Interpersonal and people skills, including facilitating smooth interactions
    • Mindset of continuous improvement and raising the bar
    • Promote a positive, collaborative team culture
