    Description:Circuit Design Engineer - Level 5

    We are Lockheed Martin


    The Electronic Hardware Design (EHD) team develops flightworthy safety critical electronic hardware, embedded software, FPGAs, and test equipment for LM Aero aircraft programs and related needs.

    We are a co-located team of electrical, mechanical, software, test, and project management engineers under one manager.

    These EHD disciplines develop requirements, produce detailed designs, qualify, document, develop test equipment for, and establish production build to print suppliers for the products it develops.

    Responsible for the development and verification of flightworthy safety critical electronic circuit cards, FPGAs, and related test equipment.

    Will work closely with embedded software engineers, mechanical engineers, specialty engineering, and test engineers integrating the software, hardware, and test stations.

    May also develop automated test capabilities enabling hardware and software verification.

    Responsible for leading development of electronic hardware architecture, circuit design, layout and mask design, device evaluation and characterization, test box design, prototype construction and checkout.


    Prepares test methods and specifications. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data and conducts experimental tests.

    Qualifies hardware against requirements. Authors design documentation, test reports, technical analysis.

    Provides finished device approval and prepares qualification documentation.

    Leads and develops a team accomplishing these responsibilities.

    Improves team processes and toolsets.

    Provides consultation to struggling LM Aero electronic hardware suppliers to improve project performance and resolve technical issues. Frequent travel may be required


    Help LM Aero develop fully qualified flightworthy electronics at a greatly reduced cost and schedule enabling company to meet increasing customer demands to keep up with adversaries.

    • Must be a US Citizen
    Basic Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Related Degree
    Demonstrated experience in circuit design
    Demonstrated experience Circuit Card Assembly Design and/or Evaluation
    Demonstrated experience in FPGA Development and/or Verification

    Desired Skills:

    Experience using Xilinx and/or Microsemi FPGAs
    Experienced with design and simulation tools (Xilinx
    Vivado, Microsemi Libero, Mentor QuestaSim)
    Experience with Perl, Visual Basic, and C/C++,
    DO 178C/254 verification
    High Speed and RF design
    Cadence schematic capture, PCB layout Allegro
    Atlassian Tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence)
    Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills
    Aerospace Product Development Experience
    Agile Development Experience
    Technical requirement development, decomposition,
    verification experience
    Verification of aerospace electronic hardware and
    embedded software requirement expertise
    System level integration experience

    Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

    Pay Rate:


    The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $128,900 - $247,000 .

    (Washington state applicants only)

    Non-represented full-time employees:

    accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

    Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.

    PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

    This position is incentive plan eligible.

    Pay Rate:


    The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $148,200 - $279,300.
