    Senior Network Engineer

    Fort Worth Texas (Onsite)

    Contract Duration: 6-12 Month Contract-to-Hire

    Jb Description:

    This Fort Worth, TX based industry leader has an immediate 6-12 month contract-to-hire opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer. This position requires working onsite Monday-Thursday. Will be on a 9/80 schedule where you have off every other Friday. Will be responsible for designing and implementing networks for the organization involving Cisco, Palo Alto, and Juniper technologies. Requires experience with desiging and implementing networks involving Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Connectivity, and Internet/Intranet in Linux and Windows environments. This requires analyzing system requirements and ensuring that systems are secure and integrated with current applications. Will ensure that all systems are working at optimal levels and supports network and operations departments with regard to new technologies and system requirements. Must have a deep understanding of Next Generation versions of Cisco, F5, Palo Alto/Juniper on-prem equipment, and cloud-based service offerings.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems preferred
    • 5-10+ years of hands-on experience with designing and implementing networking involving Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Connectivity, and Internet/Intranet in Linux and Windows environments.
    • Strong knowledge of Cisco, Palo Alto, and Juniper technologies.
    • Cisco Firewalls & Switching
    • Network Load balancers like F5/NetScaler
    • Extensive experience with Disaster Recovery, including the development of and implementation of the architecture to support.
    • Experience in troubleshooting Enterprise Network Applications.
    • Experience with architecture and implementation of enterprise BCDR solutions, including physical and virtual environments as well as client systems.
    • Experience in capacity planning and management.
    • Experience supporting Windows and Linux operating systems.
    • Experience with Azure NSGs, Routing Tables, Apps Gateways, and Traffic Managers.
    • Proficient in one or more programming languages.
    • Some working knowledge of Software-Defined Networking.
    • Best practice implementation of WAN, Disaster Recover, and multi-site architecture.
    • LAN/WAN/WIRELESS routing and switching for storage, voice, and video.
    • Use of Cisco troubleshooting tools and support services.
    • General knowledge of virtualization and Cloud Computing.
    • Microsoft OS: 2012\2016\2019 Server and Windows 7/10.
    • Working knowledge of Nextgen Firewalls, Switching, and Load balancers.
    • Hardware sourcing, deployment, administration, and maintenance.
    • Working knowledge of MPLS, DIA, SDWAN technologies.

    What You Will Be Doing

    • Designing, Architecting & Maintaining state-of-the-art technical solutions on-premise, and in the cloud, to address requirements for scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
    • Automating installations and implementation for provisioning and operating infrastructure in a reliable and repeatable method.
    • Together with the infrastructure team, you will participating in a 24x7 on-call rotation and be an escalation contact for incidents.
    • Providing periodic off-hours on-call support for production and development teams.
    • Working closely with a team of architects, and engineers, and acting as the SME for Network, Datacenter, and related requests.
    • Creating functional design specifications for on-prem & cloud reference architectures and assisting with other network and related project deliverables as needed.
    • Conducting monthly security scans and installation of security patches as required.
    • Conducting daily, weekly, monthly system maintenance as required.
    • Implementing operating system enhancements that will improve reliability.
    • Interacting with software, systems, IT engineering, and/or applications development to restore service.
    • Ensuring long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization.
    • Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of network-related computer software.
    • Monitoring the performance of the overall network and or collaboration systems.
    • Maintaining current trends and a high level of technical skill in the field of expertise.
    • Escalating more complex problems to appropriate personnel.
    • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
