    Description

    A fast growing Convenient Store with over 400 stores is seeking a mid level Network Engineer to join their team. Due to growth and increase in projects they are needing additional hands to keep infrastructure up to date and up and running. Projects include new store build outs, replacing network devices and infrastructure, anew SD Wan build out and 20+ more projects to come.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent working experience required.
    • 3-5+ years of network engineering experience (setting up, configuring, and maintaining cisco routers/switches, firewalls, etc)
    • Experience with firewalls (Dell Sonic wall, Palo Alto)
    • Experience with layer two switching (Cisco)
    • Experience with fiber switching and WI-FI (setting up Wi-Fi and handling password changes)
    • Experience with SAN and NAS
    • Troubleshooting and doing packet captures with Wireshark
    • Familiarity with protocols such as NAT, VPN, IPSEC, H232, 802.1Q, 802.1X

    Nice to Have:

    • Any Network Certifications
    • Experience with ESXI

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Maintain, configure, and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, SAN).
    • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including firmware updates, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
    • Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
    • Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
    • Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
    • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
    • Maintaining current knowledge, understanding of security, and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems.
    • Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team (currently not available).
    • Protect, Wireshark and ESXi.
    • – DNS.
    • and teamwork skills.
    • Will be part of the new store installation rotation and will need to travel to help with new store setup and go live.
