Job Summary:

The Regional Safety Manager is responsible for implementing, enforcing, and training on all Company and OSHA safety protocols and regulations within each division.

This role will be critical in ensuring that a safe working environment is promoted, and that all health and safety risks or hazards are reduced.

The Regional Safety Manager is responsible for their region but may have to support other regions at various times.


Pay Range:
$77, $99,607.00 annually


Responsibilities:


  • Working closely with Corporate team to develop strategic plans, goal policies, participates in working groups and committees.
  • Takes lead on all IT solutions (PAYCOM, M Files, GEOTAB) to integrate Safety requirements capturing inspections, audits, training, all other Safety documents.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to safety policies, procedures, and regulations onsite, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety standards, as well as industry best practices.
  • Plan, implement, manage, and maintain comprehensive environmental safety & health programs on premises, at project site locations and online with third party prequalification services (ISNet, Browz).
  • Organize and conduct preventative care, safety and compliance training programs for employees and customers as needed. Maintain records of training sessions and certifications. Generally must travel to all divisions to conduct safety training on site.
  • Curriculum may include: fall protection, mobile equipment working platform (aerial lift, scissor lift), safe driving, tools, ladders, first aid, bloodborne pathogens, hazard identification, silica, lockout/tagout, electrical, and HAZCOM.
  • Travel to all divisions to conduct safety job walks, meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective actions, and implement followup assessments.
  • Collaborate with local management and the corporate safety manager to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management. Maintain a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.
  • File, handle and follow up on worker's compensation and automobile/truck accident insurance claims.
  • Guarantee that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.
  • Provide technical support to managers and Corporate Safety Manager.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide regular onsite project presence.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Licensure & Certifications:


  • Must have a bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Fire Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Current certifications in CPR/First Aid and OSHA 30 a plus.

Experience:


  • Must have 7+ years of experience in safety, preferably in the fire and life safety or construction industry.

Knowledge, Skills, Capabilities:


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate safety concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong understanding of fire protection systems, emergency response procedures, and hazard identification.
  • Indepth knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Proficient in using safety management software, MS Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to travel as required.
