- Bachelor's degree in health care information technology, computer science, or related area, and / or equivalent combination of experience / training.
- 5 or more years of relevant experience. Experience and proven success in information systemsimplementation, development and support within a large-scale healthcare organization.
- Incumbent must obtain certification in primary EMR module(s) within 4 months of initial hire.
- Incumbent must maintain current certification for primary EMR module(s)as a condition of employment.
- 5 years of OR/Pre-Post/Procedural RN experience.
- Demonstrated experience as a major participant in a clinical system implementation.
- EPIC Certification preferred upon hire.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
- Must pass drug screen and TB test.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

DESCRIPTIONThe Operating Room Nurse Informaticist position involves design, building, testing, and implementation of clinical application systems. Provides support to clinical users through knowledge of clinical processes, documentation needs, workflows, and clinical practice standards, when adapting software to meet their needs. Works with clinicians to create or adapt written protocols. Prepares detailed specs encompassing clinical processes, information flow, risk and impact analysis. May provide customer service, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
A technical leader with a high degree of knowledge in the overall field and recognized expertise in specific areas; problem-solving frequently requires analysis of unique issues / problems without precedent and / or structure. May manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources; functions with a highdegree of autonomy.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSPay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $101,200 - $192,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $ $92.05
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
