    As a Medical Assistant specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN), you will play a vital role in supporting the healthcare team in providing quality care to women.. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals to ensure efficient operations and excellent patient care within the OB/GYN practice.

    Medical Assistant Responsibilities:

    1. Patient Care:
      • Greet and escort patients to examination rooms.
      • Assist patients with medical history documentation and other paperwork.
      • Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, weight, and height measurements.
      • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, providing support and ensuring patient comfort.
      • Educate patients on procedures, treatments, and medications as instructed by the physician.
      • Perform basic lab tests and collect specimens as needed, including urine and blood samples.
    2. Collaboration and Communication:
      • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians and nurses.
      • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient clinic operations.
      • Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor while interacting with patients and colleagues.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
    • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
    • Prior experience working in an OB/GYN setting or women's health clinic preferred
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in using EMR system and basic computer skills.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
