JOB SUMMARY

The Sales Manager is responsible for motivating and directing a commissioned sales team to meet dealership sales goals and objectives while creating positive customer experiences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure efficient and profitable operation of Sales department that meets company expectations
Ensure adequate number of trained salespeople are available and on duty during hours of operation
Arrange training and scheduling for all Sales department staff
Review previous day customer summary sheet with each sales person to evaluate daily performance
Address performance successes and shortcomings as necessary
Approve all motorcycle sales
Ensure used motorcycles purchased or taken as trade are valued at fair market price
Ensure that all units new/used are repaired, reconditioned or setup for sale
Ensure that all merchandise in the department is displayed properly and that general housekeeping is done on an ongoing basis
Ensure that the dealership's desired product mix is available at all times
Abide by and enforce all dealership policies pertaining to the department
Project positive and professional image at all times
Any other duties deemed necessary for the overall success of the department and dealership as a whole
Maintain a positive working relationship with all other employees.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

Computer Literate
Energetic and self motivated
Able to motivate a commissioned sales force
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proven leadership abilities
High School Diploma or equivalent
