- Supports the Associate Director on lateral associate hiring and the Chief Recruiting Officer on lateral partner hiring by coordinating all aspects of the lateral hiring process, including:
- Maintaining the applicant tracking system, including data entry, data management, and candidate files
- Drafting job postings and tracking open positions
- Scheduling and coordinating candidate interviews
- Soliciting and tracking interview evaluation comments
- Maintaining search firm agreement files
- Facilitating the background, conflicts, and reference check processes for lateral candidates
- Tracks recruiting statistics and market information to support the recruiting team and lateral hiring process
- Tracks recruiting statistics and market information and preparing reports and presentations to support the recruiting team and lateral hiring process
- Leads the team's completion of surveys, including NALP, Vault, and others
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree required
- 2+ years of increasing experience as a recruiting professional; law firm experience required.
- Willingness to travel to other offices
- Strong organizational skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use independent judgment, problem solve, take initiative, and follow through.
- Strong data and analytics knowledge and ability to review metrics, measure value, and take appropriate action to move forward on initiatives.
- Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel, and applicant tracking systems

Description
Reporting to the Associate Director, Recruiting & Professional Development, the Recruiting Coordinator will support the lateral associate and lateral partner recruiting function on a firmwide basis. Based in any of our California offices (with a preference for Southern California). This is a position with firmwide responsibility; occasional travel to our six offices is required.

About the Position
The Recruiting Coordinator coordinates all activities and processes involved in on-campus recruiting throughout each recruiting season. This position collaborates with the Chief Recruiting & Professional Development Officer and the Associate Director, Recruiting & Professional Development in all phases of recruiting and professional development efforts for new attorneys and summer associates while accomplishing these and other critical functions.

Compensation
Allen Matkins is an Equal Opportunity Employer and offers a competitive compensation & benefits package. The anticipated base salary range for this full-time role is $75,000 - $90,000 per year. Actual salary will depend upon a number of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, job-related skills, qualifications, and location.
