    Job Description

    Position Purpose

    We are looking for a Data analyst to join our team of Data Scientists and Analysts. This role is the CHEP North America position tasked with delivering valuable information and insights from IoT tracking projects and bringing them to realization.

    The primary responsibility of the Digital Data Analyst will be to clean and analyze journey data generated from the asset tracking software (BRIX) and to report all relevant information and insights to stakeholders throughout the business. This includes managing the cleaning and analysis of journey data generated by asset tracking software (BRIX) and providing insights to stakeholders across the business. Additionally, the data analyst will oversee the creation of master data with geolocation to support the deployment of IoT tracking devices and ensure data accuracy for analysis and reporting. The role of the Digital Data Analyst will support the ongoing delivery of digital products as part of the Digital Transformation Team at CHEP North America.

    Major/Key Accountabilities

    • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and project teams to develop BI dashboards, utilizing data analysis techniques to transform raw data into actionable insights through visualizations, reports, and presentations.
    • Validate and analyze data sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
    • Define and agree upon key metrics and deliverables.
    • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement to boost productivity and enrich the customer experience.
    • Provide quick turnaround data analysis to generate insights to help guide decision-makers and executives.
    • Ensure relevant SLAs are met; engage with teammates to improve output for all digital projects.
    • Be a Subject Matter Expert for CHEP NA for all Digital products and tools.
    • Responsible for testing upgrades.
    • Perform high-level analysis and exploration on identified digital workstreams and deployments and provide updates to teams where necessary.
    • Oversee the processing, cleansing, and verifying of the integrity of data used for analysis.
    • Develop new methods for data cleansing and location resolution.

    Measures

    • Success will be measured two-fold: Quality of dashboards, data analysis, insights, and delivery of improved business performance.
    • Each project will be measured on:
    • Delivery of promised capability
    • On-time completion of the project
    • Effective change management/adoption levels
    • Key metrics (asset efficiency, cost reduction, revenue generation, etc.)

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in information systems, Business Analytics, Computer science, and Data Science/Analytics.

    Experience

    • Experience in interactive dashboards, charts, and graphs to enable data-driven decision-making. (PowerBI or Apache Superset)
    • Experience in collecting, collating, and structuring data, ideally with address and location information.
    • Experience in developing data quality initiatives and creating reports.
    • Experience in statistical analysis techniques and data visualization tools to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in IoT data.
    • Experience in Data Profiling, and managing master data (creation, updates, and deletion).

    Skills and Knowledge

    • Proficiency in data analysis (Python and SQL) and visualization tools (Power BI or Apache Superset).
    • Proficiency in data analysis in Excel.
    • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with ambiguity.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex data insights to stakeholders.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
    • Identify areas for process improvement and propose solutions to streamline supply chain operations.
