I currently work as a Registered Behavior Technician and I have been in the field for almost 2 years now. I'm passionate about inclusion, recreation, and making a difference in client's/patient's lives!

Registered Behavior Technician 

BUILDING BLOCKS BEHAVIOR INTERVENTIONS

 December 1, 2022-present (FT- 39 hours a week)

 -Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction targets in the treatment plan made by the supervising Behavior Analyst/Assistant Behavior Analyst through ABA therapy to move clients towards independence while preserving client dignity

 -Teach a variety of life/social skills in an age-appropriate and developmentally-appropriate manner

 -Promote functional communication 

-Debrief parents on client progress as well as the assigned BCBA/BCaBA

 -Build rapport with clients (pairing) by playing with preferred items and activities

 -Document data and write session notes

Activities Assistant

 - Facilitate duties as directed by the Activities Director such as memory care recreation exercises (arts and crafts, jewelry beading, balloon toss, beach volleyball toss, mindful coloring, ring toss, “finish the phrase”, music sing-along, memory care workbooks, etc)

 -Facilitate “morning gathering”-have memory care residents engage in daily questions that pertain to current events 

-Assist memory care caregivers in lunch set up 

-Assist with front desk duties

 -Facilitate daily movie-showings

 -Facilitate church events 

-Facilitate bingo for assisted living residents
