    Technology Manager- Planning and Allocation Systems - Philadelphia, United States - URBN

    Role Summary:

    URBN is looking for a Technology Manager as we are in the midst of an exciting digital transformation. As we implement the o9 platform for planning and allocation, we need a visionary leader who can drive innovation, collaboration, and excellence in technology solutions. As the Technology Manager, you will be responsible for configuration, implementation, and maintenance of technology solutions that support our retail planning and allocation processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, and IT to ensure that our systems meet the needs of the business and contribute to our overall success. This role offers an opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of our retail operations.

    Role Responsibilities:
    • Lead the implementation of retail planning and allocation systems, including software applications and integrations with existing systems.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define system specifications, and prioritize enhancements and updates. Assess the value and develop business cases for new capability requests, prioritizing them against existing demand for key projects.
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
    • Manage a high-performing team of business analysts and product owners with expertise in iterative project delivery and planning & allocation business acumen.
    • Oversee the day-to-day operation of retail planning and allocation systems, including troubleshooting issues, monitoring performance, and implementing system improvements.
    • Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to retail planning and allocation technology and recommend innovative solutions to enhance our systems and processes.
    • Provide leadership and guidance on data governance, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of retail planning and allocation data.
    • Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to ensure that retail planning and allocation systems are properly integrated with other systems and networks.
    • Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures for retail planning and allocation systems.
    Role Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
    • 5 years of experience in retail technology roles, with a focus on planning and allocation systems.
    • Proven track record of successfully leading technology projects from conception to implementation.
    • Strong understanding of retail planning and allocation processes, including merchandise planning, assortment planning, and inventory management.
    • Experience with retail planning and allocation software platforms such as o9, Oracle Retail, JDA, or SAP.
    • Proficiency in SQL.
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
    • Capable of working in fast paced environment with competing priorities
    • Experience working on global initiatives across businesses
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
