Job Description
Job DescriptionDescription:A. This position is located at Raleigh Radiology's Business Support Office location, may require travel to any Raleigh Radiology location, or may be remote.
B. The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the completion of assigned projects for the organization while ensuring these projects are on time, on budget and within scope.
C. The primary functions of the Project Manager are to oversee enterprise projects (i.e., Operations to include Facility Construction, HR, Marketing, IT, Compliance, and Process Improvement) from inception to completion using best standards and integrating into internal project management system.
D. The Project Manager (PM) reports to the Executive Director of Operations.
II MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Project Management
a) Provide project management and guidance for new and existing facilities and construction projects and coordinate with general contractors, building owners, vendors, and suppliers to ensure projects are released to Operations on time and within budget.
b) Provide project management for assigned projects including Process Improvement projects, IT, or other departmental projects to ensure timely and within budget completion.
c) Host project meetings with team and managers to provide feedback, advice, project updates and encouragement to team members.
d) Develop project boards that identify resources and budgetary needs, provide accountability, and reduce redundancies.
e) Execute program plans (quality, risk, communication, staffing, etc.) and capture and communicate program status and data to maintain accurate and current program information for the use of stakeholders.
f) Originate and drive Enterprise Project Management continuous improvement activities. Optimize resource allocation of portfolio in partnership with functional leaders across divisions/site.
g) Track overall program progress and provide detailed management status reports and present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions.
h) Must be familiar with PMP philosophy and experienced using project management software- i.e.,
i) Establish, maintain, and influence program stakeholder relationships, expectations, and communication, both internal and external to the organization
j) Manage deadlines and guide the team to ensure timeliness.
k) Present data and recommend program improvements to senior leaders.
l) Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs.
m) Evaluate and assess the result of the project.
n) Keep sensitive information confidential.
2) Facilities
a) Communicate with facility service vendors regularly to maintain relationships including but not limited to janitorial services, medical waste management, documentation destruction, pest control, and security.
b) Seek quotes and service contracts for all new equipment purchases, including new facilities through relationships maintained with vendors.
c) New facility project management to include construction, installations, inspections, equipment, project calls, etc.
d) Assist with management of maintenance requests for facilities and management of larger projects related to facility management.
e) Manage any emergency projects that arise requiring unforeseen facility construction.
3) Other Duties
a) Collect and manage project team.
b) Manage budget.
c) Allocate project resources.
d) Lead quality assurance initiatives
e) Monitor and report on project progress.
f) Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:III. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE
A. Education : Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
B. Experience: Experience in construction project management preferred with strategic planning, risk management and/or change management. Proficiency in project management software tools, contract negotiation, conflict resolutions experience. Experience in Radiology a plus.
C. Certification : Project Management qualification (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or equivalent experience as a project manager preferred
D. Licensure: None
IV. DESIRED SKILLS
Past work experience in a healthcare or radiology setting is preferred. Excellent communication skills, problem-solving and leadership skills, project planning, risk management, time management and other project management skills. Must be organized, fast-paced, and able to deliver outcomes in challenging situations. Must possess emotional intelligence and ability to meet deadlines and execute to target.
V. WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift fifteen pounds at a time.
VI. NATURE OF SUPERVISION
A. Supervised by: Director of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs
B. Supervises: None
C. Instruction / Assistance / Review of Work:
The Project Manager functions with oversight by the Director of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs although considerable independent work is required. Review of work is generally limited to assurance that work performed is in accordance with policies and procedures. The employee is expected to inform the Director of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs when unforeseen events / circumstances require significant changes. The Project Manager may be assigned a variety of projects, tasks, or additional responsibilities to ensure continued project momentum and/or practice operation.
