    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) to join our team SGS, LLC is an Oklahoma based General Contractor / Design-Builder. We currently have openings for qualified personnel on our commercial construction projects.

    Responsibilities:

    • Implement EM requirements
    • Involved in all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
    • Ability to plan for and assign resources as applicable for projects
    • Supervise safety of all onsite personnel and subcontractors
    • Management/Enforcement of SGS's Safety Program and Security Policies
    • Conduct regular safety meetings with trade subcontractors
    • Conduct safety orientation for all new employees onsite
    • Required to ensure all personnel onsite are equipped with proper PPE
    • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, government officials, etc.
    • Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to approved plans and specifications

    Qualifications:

    • Must have minimum of 5 years of experience on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects
    • Must have current OSHA 30-Hour card and CPR/First Aid certifications
    • Must be familiar with requirements of the EM , 2014 version
    • 40Hr EM385 Certification Preferred
    • 24Hr Fall Protection Competent Person Certification REQUIRED
    • Knowledge and experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, requires applicants to be of able body to assist in performing certain portions of the work, and to manage and schedule subcontractors
    • Experience with USACE RMS software
    • Thorough knowledge and understanding of construction means and methods
    • Strong leadership qualities
    • Deadline and detail-oriented
