    24-25 Community Health Services Fund Development VISTA

    The Utah Healthcare Corps Division of AUCH (Association for Utah Community Health) staffs CHWs in Utah's communities statewide. Responsible for the oversight and implementation of all direct service projects.

    Supporting and implementing models of health service beyond clinic walls to empower clients to engage in their care and health care outcomes.

    Located in Salt Lake City. Close to beautiful Park City and a few hours from five National Parks.

    VISTA members will:

    • Research potential partners/grant opportunities.
    • Develop strategies for grant concepts/projects.
    • Prepare grant proposals - brainstorming, content research and editing.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders on grant preparation/submission
    • Data collection, preparing reports
    • Promote the CHS division mission and work.
    • Organize and manage fundraising events.
    • Cultivate a network of donors and volunteers.

    AUCH is looking for individuals with the following:

    • Experience in research, fundraising and grant writing
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to express ideas clearly, concisely, and logically
    • Managing multiple priorities and competing tasks with attention to detail
    • Enthusiasm, initiative, and self-motivation
    • Able to work independently as well with a team
    • Ability to meet tight grant and fundraising deadlines.
    • Experience working with federal, state, and foundation partners. The member will have opportunities to expand their knowledge and skills in grant writing and fundraising while working in community health work. In the year of service, the member will take part in continuing education trainings, lead project updates to the CHS management team, and gain hands-on experience working in the non-profit sector.     Member Duties :

    The VISTA member will provide fundraising and grant support for AUCH's CHS division with the goal of helping sustain existing, and secure future, funding for CHW services for low-income and underserved communities and expand SDOH screening in both urban and rural communities while promoting awareness of the CHS division's mission and work.

    The VISTA member will research appropriate grant funding opportunities, prepare grant proposals, organize grant writing campaign events to include brainstorming sessions, and dedicated writing sessions.

    They will also be responsible for collecting data throughout the grant lifecycle and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on grant preparation, submission, and execution.

    VISTA members will be responsible for cultivating a network of dedicated donors and volunteers and organizing and managing partner stewardship events.
