    Clarification from the agency

    Duties
    • Accomplishing management and disposition of region-wide records
    • Providing expertise and training in records disposition
    • Responsible for maintaining inactive regional office files
    • Resolving records disposition problems and staying updated on developments
    • Performing extensive records research and retrieval
    • Evaluating raw records inventory data
    • Reviewing Vital Operating Records for proper classification
    • Screening, assembling, and accounting for records shipment
    • Assisting in processing incoming and outgoing mail
    Physical Demands - The job involves walking, stretching, stooping, and carrying boxes of material up to 50 lbs. during record preparation.

    Qualifications
    To be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must determine that you meet the education and/or specialized experience requirement supported in the resume.

    A. One year of specialized experience at the GS-04 level in the Federal service
    B. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited school
    C. A combination of education and experience
    Experience includes paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work
    Time-In-Grade: Employees must meet the time-in-grade restriction
    Education
    This vacancy allows substituting education for experience at the GS-5 level.
    Official college transcripts are required if selected, certified by the University's Registrar.

    Accreditation: Education must be from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education.
    Foreign Education: Requires proof of education equivalency from an organization specializing in foreign educational credentials.
