    Job Description:


    The Application Support Analyst will primarily provide application support for information protection technologies at the direction of Technology Production Services Management.

    The incumbent will be responsible for debugging, installing, monitoring, and troubleshooting production systems.

    This position is a 5 x 24-hour support role in supporting the first line application support staff and the overnight operators.

    The main function of this position is to minimize interruptions and the risks to the firm from a system outage by coordinating the activities within the Application Support group.

    This person will function as 1st and 2nd level support on all vendor and in-house applications. Additional responsibilities include desktop support, system administration, and application development. BA/BS Degree, preferably in Computer Science.

    Experience in an application support role within the investment management business; along with programming experience in one or more of the following programming languages:
    Visual Basic, PowerBuilder, Perl, C, Java, Shell.

    Must be well versed in the trading area, trade operations area, and general knowledge of the rest of the investment management business including accounting, data warehousing, reporting, portfolio management, portfolio analytic tools.

    Hands on experience with the Windows operating system, Unix operating system, Windows file system, and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc. )

    General knowledge of the databases used:
