    JOB PURPOSE:

    The Director of Educational Services directs corporate and departmental training programs' design, planning, and implementation and monitors and evaluates their effectiveness. This role will define operating objectives and training plans to meet the Organizations shortand long-term goals and actively search for, creatively design, and implement effective methods to educate and enhance staff performance. The Director of Educational Services will also provide guidance to the Education/Staff Development Team.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identify and arrange suitable training solutions for employees.

    + Oversees education programs and staff development by providing mentorship, professional support, and professional development.

    + Establishes and conducts New Hire Orientation (NHO) and continuing training programs according to PACE regulatory requirements and staff scope of practice in preparation for their assigned roles.

    + Assist staff, as needed, to determine areas requiring immediate remediation and resolve inconsistencies.

    + Participates in the redesign of the PACE Educational and Staff Development program to streamline resources and training efficiencies.

    + Approves new training techniques and suggests enhancements to existing training programs.

    + Develop training strategies in collaboration with senior leadership and care delivery management to meet company-wide and departmental needs.

    + In conjunction with the VP of Quality and leadership, participates in the development of educational materials and training modules that support ongoing performance improvement initiatives and quality/compliance oversight.

    + Oversees, evaluates, and ensures the effectiveness of all educators and trainers to guarantee that training goals are met, and staff receives a best-in-class education experience.

    + Develops programs, materials, and job aids for new staff and refresher or ongoing training for experienced staff to meet the organization's operational needs and adhere to regulatory compliance responsibilities with governing agencies such as NYSDOH, CMS, etc.

    + Executes a systematic approach to staff development and evaluation of training programs that include, at minimum:

    + Identification of specific needs for training and training materials.

    + Preparation of instructional objectives stated in measurable terms.

    + Design of instructional materials and job aids to meet instructional objectives.

    + Supports staff, interns, apprentices, and volunteer orientation and ongoing in-service education as requested.

    + Supports organizational activities by participating in quality improvement activities, special projects, internal and/or external committees, community activities, and other duties as assigned.

    + Prepares a blend of traditional classroom and e-learning training programs, allocating appropriate time for each. The training modalities are determined by organizational needs and budgeted resources.

    + Acts as a coach and facilitator to learner groups and individuals in accordance with training programs strategies and objectives.

    + Collaborates with other departments and staff on project implementation to maximize efficiency and teamwork.

    + Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.

    Management-related duties:

    + Ensures effective staff training compliance and evaluates staff performance.

    + Recommends staff training, hiring, promotions, terminations and salary actions.

    + Prepares and ensures adherence to the department budget.

    + Recommends, implements, and monitors corrective action plans when needed.

    Schedule: 8:30AM 5:30PM

    Weekly Hours: 40

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education: Bachelors degree in Nursing or Education, required. Masters Degree, preferred.

    Experience:

    + Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a high-level training manager

    + Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing personnel

    + Knowledge of home care, PACE, or other Healthcare-related programs, required.

    + Familiarity with the methods and principles for designing programs to teach, train, and instruct both groups and individuals, including the means of assessing the effects of training.

    + Experience in or knowledge of recruitment and selection of personnel, labor relations, negotiation, training, and personnel information systems.

    + Strong customer and personal service skills, including evaluation of satisfaction and ensuring quality standards of service.

    Other Requirements:

    + UAS Assessment knowledge is strongly preferred.

    + Experience working for or in long-term care or a managed care setting.

    + Ability to lead and motivate others, develop project plans with corporate-wide impact, and work in team groups is required.

    + Proven strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

    + Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

    + Strong relationship-building skills.

    + Proficiency with computers, including Windows, Excel, Word, and Power Point required.

    License: RN License in good standing to practice in New York State, required.

    Physical Requirements

    Individuals must be able to sustain certain physical requirements essential to the job. This includes, but is not limited to:

    + Standing Duration of up to 6 hours a day.

    + Sitting/Stationary positions Sedentary position in duration of up to 6-8 hours a day for consecutive hours/periods.

    + Lifting/Push/Pull Up to 50 pounds of equipment, baggage, supplies, and ability to lift patients safely and using OSHA guidelines, etc.

    + Bending/Squatting Must be able to safely bend or squat to care for patients, use medical supplies, etc.

    + Stairs/Steps/Walking/Climbing Must be able to safely maneuver stairs, climb up/down, and walk to access work areas Position requires the individual to be able to travel, and walk between sites/locations and work areas throughout the day.

    + Agility/Fine Motor Skills - Must demonstrate agility and fine motor skills to operate and activate equipment, devices, instruments, and tools (ie. typing, use of medical supplies, equipment, etc.)

    + Sight/Visual Requirements Must be able to visually assess patients, read orders type/write documentation, etc. with accuracy.

    + Audio Hearing and Motor Skills (language) Requirements Must be able to listen attentively and document information from patients, community members, providers, etc., and intake information through audio processing with accuracy. In addition, must be able to speak comfortably and clearly with language motor skills for customers to understand the individual.

    + Cognitive Ability Must be able to demonstrate good decision-making, reasonableness, cognitive ability, rational processing, and analysis to satisfy essential functions of the job.

    Salary Range (Min-Max):$145, $155,000.00
