- Responsible for interface/integration implementations, analysis, modifications, testing & support from pre-implementation through post go-live.
- Reviews, analyzes & evaluates business systems, user needs & documents detailed specifications, conducts mappings, translation table values, conducts testing, & supports interface & integration change requests.
- Makes decisions & recommendations which reflect appropriate level of analysis & evaluations of interface alternatives.
- Coordinates timelines & implementation with vendors & end users.
- Develops testing schedule, test cases, generates test data specifications & conducts/leads testing for all interfaces & data extracts.
- Assist in proactively monitoring interfaces/data integrations to ensure transfers are up & running at all times.
- Assist in support & troubleshooting of interface issues.
- Coordinates problem resolution & root cause of issues with vendor support.
- Implements appropriate steps to correct issues from reoccurring.
- Considers related implications of all changes including security, regulatory & legal requirements.
- Collects appropriate data, reviews & analyzes data to evaluate the effectiveness of systems & procedures & makes recommendations of changes in systems or processes which will improve effectiveness & efficiencies of integrations.
- Works closely with end users & management to define system requirements.
- Analyzes & researches business needs impacting hospital applications.
- Independently triages & researches software application issues. Recommends & implements solutions based on appropriate analysis & research.
- Works with vendors & subject matter experts on problem resolutions.
- Identifies opportunities to reduce costs & improve processes.
- Software applications are up & functioning as designed.
- Provides data analysis, design, report generation, automation, & data validation for reports, dashboards, & data extracts.
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, & transforming data from various sources.
- Write & execute data queries utilizing various technologies including SQL, DA2, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or other data analysis tools.
- Ensures integrity, accessibility, & accuracy of reports, dashboards, & data structures.
- Document data definitions, processes, findings, & solutions.
- Learn & apply new data technologies & best practices.
- Manage & support application upgrades.
- Participates in development of information technology projects.
- Ensures detailed specifications are reviewed, tested, & approved.
- Specific components of project are clearly documented & communicated to appropriate team members.
- Status of tasks are completed & communicated in a timely manner. Ensure proper project management disciplines are followed including change control, documentation & testing in support of planning & deployment of projects.
- Develops application testing schedule with vendors & end users.
- Make recommendations that will inform purchasing decisions for new clinical devices & technologies that meet organizational needs.
- Performs implementation, integration, & connectivity tasks in concert with vendor resources & other internal teams such as Biomed, Networking, Systems Administration, clinical staff, etc.
- Communicates effectively with system vendors to maintain working relationships & proper systems support.
- Evaluates the security posture of medical devices & identifies potential risks. Works with Information Security & Networking to effectively mitigate risks through network segmentation or other mitigating factors.
- Assists Biomed as needed on preventative maintenance (PM), installs, & end-of-life planning.
- Maintains usable systems for end-users with the ability to work with vendors or other outside resources as well as internal hospital teams to resolve system issues within service level agreements.
- Configures DICOM connectivity for imaging modalities in coordination with Systems Administration, Radiology, & Biomed. Documents these connection points through data flow mapping.
- Responsibilities include, planning & scheduling medical device upgrades & updates. This also includes coordination with other teams, vendors, users, interfaces, & other systems that feed or accept information from these devices.
- Follows department change request processes.
- Basic problem-solving skills & capabilities to resolve medical device issues under stressful conditions. Uses appropriate methods of escalation to both internal & external resources.

- Able to operate various computer equipment
- Associate's degree or equivalent majoring in Computer Science.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience required.

Job Summary:
The Systems Analyst will be responsible for data integration implementations & support, application software analysis, data analytics, reporting, & project management. Responsibilities include data integration analysis, modifications, testing, & support from pre-implementation through post go-live. The Systems Analyst will develop & maintain data reports & dashboards. The Systems Analyst will independently research business & technical requests, recommend & implement solutions based on appropriate analysis & research. They will be responsible to provide implementation & support for medical devices integration. They will monitor & mitigate information security & technology risks related to data integration, interfaces, & medical device integration. The Systems Analyst will be expected to develop detailed project plans, schedule & conduct full life cycle implementation plans with clinicians, technical partners & other IS resources. The Systems Analyst will be expected to work closely with end users, subject matter experts, & management to define system requirements, develop business solutions, quality testing, & problem resolutions.
