    Description
    SUMMARY

    Provides strategic communications leadership to all levels of the organization, including executive team. Works in partnership with Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion, PR & Marketing, and Store Communications for internal initiatives. Leads organization of events, communications and programs to enhance company's culture. Develops strategy, manages the execution of charitable and community programs. Leads internal communications consisting of email, intranet, companywide meetings and employee newsletters. Responsible for charitable partnerships and corporate giving strategy.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES
    • Oversee JOANN Internal Communications strategy including team member communications, organizational announcements, as well as executive speech writing. Partner with Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion, Store Operations, Marketing and PR to ensure consistent communications.
    • Manage all corporate giving and charitable cause partnerships, including national fundraising campaigns and volunteering opportunities.
    • Develop strategy and manage execution of community giving across SSC, DCs and full fleet of stores to encourage Team Member engagement and enhance the JOANN brand perception nationwide.
    • Support key internal initiatives including ONE JOANN, Diversity & Inclusion and Team Member development. Project management and strategic thinking are critical.
    • Conduct performance analyses and provide recommendations for future projects based on results. Produce quarterly and annual results. Manage budget forecasting and reconciliation.
    • Special projects as needed.
    WORKING CONDITIONS
    • Ability to travel up to 15% of time
    • Hybrid work environment with ability to manage onsite and community events
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Ability to manage highly confidential and sensitive information
    • Proven experience in internal communications and charitable giving
    • Outstanding oral and written communications skills, as well as advanced messaging skills
    • Strong leadership and ability to manage cross-functional partnerships
    • Manage team to execute charitable and internal communications strategy
    • Lead field partners to engage local community opportunities
    • Oversee programs that include many partners, i.e. ONE JOANN
    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    Education Minimum: 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or Journalism

    Experience Minimum: 5+ years relevant experience knowledge, skills and abilities Proven track record in corporate communications. Demonstrated ability to manage internal client relationships, including executive level, in mid- to large-size
