John Fenimore

Thank you for taking the time to read this profile. My name is John Fenimore and I am currently looking for a job that allows me to use my English major in a professional setting. 

Through all of my professional work there has been a common theme I've allowed myself to hone in on in the form of creativity. That creativity was on full display during one of my first jobs working as a Arcade Attendant at Iplay America  From the public relations side of things where a good dialogue can turn a customer's average stay into a memorable one, to the more straight forward acts of keeping track of money while dealing with a variety of the goings on of an Arcade. It's with creativity on my side that allowed me to not only succeed but thrive as an example of this was seen during the COVID-19 epidemic. At the peak of the spread of COVID in 2020, I had to adapt on the fly to new forms of teamwork and ways of communication to great effect as Iplay America continued it's success even through those troubled times. These public relations and organization would carry over into future employment as these skills would apply to various environments, including the educational world.

When dealing with the youth one needs to be both extra careful and increasingly creative as the lesson teaching process requires both. In addition, one needs to look into one's environment as both Howell county's educational program and Lakewood county's educational program require different touches in the way lessons are taught. Of course, in both of these environments i assisted in the creation of a learning environment through the use of a positive attitude and thought provoking questions that would have students participating in classroom discussion. In Howell, young students who would need additional help in their works would be assisted by me through the offering of creative tips to building block procedures of life such as creating sentences. In Lakewood, students who would need help in the aspect of inspiration would come to me where i would assist in that area.

If i could describe my schooling experience in a single attribute, it would come down to one phrase: "creativity". This creative aspect of my life has been in my DNA since I was young, writing stories and playing games that flex the creative muscle while still maintaining a structure. With my favorite subject being English in school, I could write for hours upon hours in ways that would make any College English Professor approve regardless of the class being more research based or more creatively minded. It's through these classes that allow me the honor of being a Bachelor in Arts in English at Georgian Court University.
