About Me: 

Hi there! 

I'm Emma. I'm a recently graduated Visual Arts Education major from Daemen University in Buffalo, New York. At the moment, I have my Initial Certification to teach Visual Arts education from pre-Kindergarten all the way up to 12th grade. 

I come from a large family of educators and have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I love making art (anything from drawing to stained glass window making, and everything in between!) and I love working with teenagers. I am so excited to start my journey as an educator! 

Some of my favorite things include cooking, my fun and energetic family, and my puppy.

My Teaching Philosophy:

High school can be difficult for a variety of reasons - I’ve experienced this first hand. While in high school, I found a sanctuary in the art room. It was a place where students felt safe enough to be authentically themselves, felt cared about, and felt valued (and made some pretty cool art along the way). I want to make sure future students are able to have this same experience I was so fortunate to have. 

Education is so incredibly important. I want to create a space that gets kids wanting to come back to school just one more day, every day.
