Gansevoort Hotel is looking for experienced Cocktail Servers. 2+ years of experience in luxury hospitality setting is required.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Upscale Lounge Cocktail Server to join our team.

As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests by taking and delivering food & beverage orders in a timely and efficient manner.

Your friendly and professional demeanor will contribute to creating a positive dining experience for our customers.


Duties:


  • Greet guests and provide them with menus
  • Take accurate food & drink orders from guests
  • Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
  • Monitor alcohol consumption of guests and adhere to responsible serving guidelines
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing any guest concerns or inquiries
  • Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
  • Upsell additional menu items or promotions to increase sales

Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of POS systems and experience in the food service industry is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment
  • Familiarity with OpenTable or other reservation systems is an advantage
  • Must be at least 18 years old
