Description
The Cloud Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining, administering, and enhancing SilverTech's cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of mission-critical resources.
This role requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working independently and collaborating with senior staff members to resolve complex hosting-related issues, as well as architect and set up client hosting environments.
RequirementsManage day-to-day operations of SilverTech's internal and client cloud infrastructure.
Monitor system/network performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair to ensure optimal operation.
Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts, subnets, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud security.
Assist with the configuration and maintenance of client hosting environments.
Maintain and troubleshoot existing AWS and Azure environments.
Work directly with the development team to provide infrastructure support.
Set up and configure web applications on Microsoft Servers or Azure App Services.
Incorporate security and privacy requirements into cloud hardware, software, and applications
Participate in new technological decisions to secure the agency's intellectual property and data.
Participate in on-call rotation for resolution of issues in a 24x7 cloud environment
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
3-5+ years of experience in the Information Technology field
Proven experience managing cloud infrastructure:
Notably Azure (App Services, Application Insights, Azure SQL, Key Vaults, Resource Groups, etc.) and AWS.
Experience with infra-as-code (Terraform preferred)
Experience in Cloud logging, monitoring, and observability tools
Familiarity with operating system administration, virtualization technologies, and network security.
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Familiarity with .Net based application hosting a plus.
Relevant certifications in cloud technologies are a plus.
