    We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Organizational Transformation Director on our Physician Satisfaction team.

    This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring coming into the office on a quarterly basis.

    As a Organizational Transformation Director , you will provideclinical leadership for AMA programs focused on improving professionalsatisfaction/reducing clinician burnout, with an emphasis on developing andspreading resources for practice transformation.

    Serve as the clinical lead forthe organizational wellbeing learning networks; for supporting OrganizationalBiopsy, Joy in Medicine Recognition, bootcamps, webinars and podcasts.

    Serve assubject matter expert and physician liaison in collaborations with externalstakeholders.

    Provide input into AMA research initiatives focused onunderstanding workplace correlates of burnout, EHR-use metrics, andeffectiveness of specific strategies for system and practice transformation.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Learning Communities
    • Program DevelopmentServe as the physician lead for the development of a program of post assessment organizational support.
    Complete biopsy read outs to identify common physician issues to then be addressed in the Learning Communities program.

    Work closely with another senior physician advisor to envision, design and pilot a program of post-assessment organizational support for health care organizations.

    Focus on supporting cultural transformation and practice efficiency, based on the insights gained through the survey of physicians and other members of the healthcare team.

    Organizational support will include 1:1 support and learning networks.
    ResearchProvide input into AMA research and recognition initiatives focused on interventions for system and practice transformation.
    Serve as a reviewer for research proposals in the HER-use research initiative and the Practice Transformation research initiative. Serve as a reviewer for ACPH abstracts and Joy in Medicine Health System Recognition Program applications.
    External CollaborationServe as a clinical representative at external conferences.
    Contribute to abstract review of American and International Conferences on Physicians Health. Conduct podcasts, webinars, grand rounds, leadership meeting presentations, etc. as opportunities arise.
    Represent the AMA as subject matter expert at requested events, bootcamps, meetings, etc.


    May include other responsibilities as assigned REQUIREMENTS:1.Doctor of Medicine degree required; strong preference for candidates with organizational leadership experience.2.A minimum of ten years of clinical experience, with at least three years spent in an administrative or education role in a health care provider organization required with continued commitment to practice approximately at least 30% of the time.3.Minimum of 5+ years' experience working in healthcare delivery improvement, quality and safety or HIT; In-depth knowledge on (system level) issues and challenges impacting practicing physicians.4.Knowledge and use with burnout literature and research preferred.5.Clear and engaging speaker; strong writer; exceptional interpersonal and coalition building skills; ability to solve problems and work flexibly in a changing and politicized environment.6.Demonstrated accomplishments in program/innovation evaluation and analysis of data to determine program outcomes and effectiveness.7.Proven presentation skills with health system executives, large audiences and groups of physicians; ability to influence and motivate.8.Strong matrix management and team building skills; experience working with professionals from diverse backgrounds; ability to teach, coach and mentor staff.9.Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments and delegate tasks as needed; candidates should be ready to lead/direct significant activities.10.Travel required.
