The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 professions who want to become even better with us.

Starting on September 1st, 2024, we are looking for you for a 3-year apprenticeship as a train driver (railway employee in operational service, specializing in train driving and transportation) (m/f/d) for DB Regio AG at the Ingolstadt location. The vocational school is located in Munich and any travel costs will be reimbursed.
What to expect during your apprenticeship:
  • You will learn how to shunt, prepare and drive trains in regular operation and in case of deviations from regular operation
  • Rules for safe and smooth railway operations
  • Identifying and fixing vehicle malfunctions
  • You will ensure that our trains are ready for our customers at the station safely, punctually and reliably
Your profile:
  • You have successfully completed (or will soon complete) school with at least a qualifying secondary school leaving certificate
  • Your German language skills are at least at level B2
  • You enjoy working with technology
  • You remain calm and keep an overview even in difficult situations
  • You are not afraid to take responsibility and make decisions
