The Urban Hospital Karlsruhe is the largest hospital in the Mittlerer Oberrhein region.

It is designated as a maximum care hospital for the region in the hospital requirement plan of the state of Baden-Württemberg and is a teaching hospital of the University of Freiburg.

Every day and around the clock, over 4,500 qualified employees ensure the care of patients.

For the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapeutic Medicine (Director Prof. Dr. M. Berner), we are currently seeking a

Occupational Therapist

Part-time 19.5 hours per week


The psychiatric and psychotherapeutic treatment of the citizens of Karlsruhe is ensured by one of the largest psychiatric and psychotherapeutic departments in Germany through a diverse multidisciplinary therapy program.

Psychiatric patients are treated on a total of seven, partly disorder-specific wards, and two other wards have a psychotherapeutic or psychosomatic focus.

Current behavioral therapy methods (DBT, CBASP, and ACT) are established. In addition, the clinic operates four day clinics at three locations in the city area and in Ettlingen. The equivalent inpatient psychiatric treatment (StäB) is currently being established.


The therapeutic concept integrates disorder-specific behavioral therapy and pharmacological treatment approaches with social psychiatric methods based on the latest scientific findings.

In the Occupational Therapy Department, selected everyday, work, and creative activities are carried out for therapeutic purposes.
