We are currently seeking a full-time, permanent Purchaser (m/f/d) to join our purchasing team in Warren, PA.

Your responsibilities will include:
-
Operational and strategic purchasing:

  • Ensuring timely procurement and managing material availability
  • Conducting purchasing negotiations and finalizing framework contracts
  • Strategically developing the supplier portfolio
  • Monitoring and analyzing procurement markets
  • Collaborating with other departments, particularly Quality Management/Quality Assurance
  • Participating in supplier audits
  • Continuously improving the purchasing department
  • Acting as a key user for the ERP system for the purchasing team
  • Working on crossdepartmental projects

Your qualifications:

  • Completed commercial training with relevant further education or a degree in Business Administration with a focus on purchasing and logistics
  • Extensive professional experience in purchasing, ideally in the packaging and raw materials sector of the food industry
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably CSB (industryspecific solution for the food industry)
  • Organized and independent work style
  • Negotiation skills and assertiveness
  • Excellent German and good English skills, both written and spoken
