We are looking for a
DIGITAL LAWYER for the legal department of WDR.

Location:
Start date: Field of work: Type of employment: Cologne Law Full-time

The legal department is responsible for providing legal advice on various legal matters and media policy issues at WDR.

The ARD liaison office in Brussels is also "docked" to the lawyers and the WDR legal department.

YOUR NEW TASKS AND SKILLS
\ You are responsible for interpreting and applying regulations related to telemedia mandates and flexibility in commissioning ff. Media State Treaty) as well as providing internal legal advice to WDR and ARD.

\ You are a fully qualified lawyer with above-average legal exams.

\ Ideally, you have several years of experience in media law (especially broadcasting law, telemedia law, press and expression law, liability issues, and data protection law) and advising editorial teams, telemedia and social media offerings, program complaints, and legal action for criminal content.

\ You have a good understanding of the digital media landscape and the functioning of third-party platforms.

\ You also have experience in international, European, and national telecommunications law, as well as in regulatory and digitalization issues, cybersecurity, and protection of critical infrastructures.

\ Ideally, you have knowledge of the structures of public broadcasting, especially ARD and WDR.

\ You have good written and spoken English skills.
