    Job Title: Restaurant Management Intern

    Department: Operations

    Reports To: Concept Manager

    Status: Non-Exempt

    Join a team of industry leaders as a Restaurant Management Intern to bring your classroom-learned skills into practical use in a restaurant setting at Areas.

    This 12-week internship aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge to venture into restaurant management.

    Broad Responsibilities:

    • Assist the restaurant manager in staff training and supervision for courteous service delivery following company policies and procedures.
    • Collaborate on training programs, observe and guide team members, monitor service quality, support policy implementation, and identify improvement areas.
    • Participate in meetings and training sessions, contributing to staff development, customer service, and operational success.

    Main Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Manage assigned shifts and support restaurant operations.
    • Contribute to daily staff meetings and coordinate shift activities.
    • Supervise various restaurant departments, ensuring smooth operations.
    • Monitor staff punctuality, gather customer feedback, and assist in staff training.
    • Learn food preparation processes, beverage service standards, and guest complaint handling.
    • Assist in daily supplies ordering, inventory management, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
    • Participate in training programs, respond to customer comments, and support during peak hours.
    • Be responsible for assigned shifts and overall restaurant management.

    Education & Skills Requirements:

    • Currently pursuing a degree in hospitality, restaurant management, or related fields.
    • Strong customer service and communication skills, along with basic computer skills.
