Job Description:

The Federation of German Consumer Organizations (vzbv) is the umbrella organization for 16 consumer centers in the federal states and 27 other consumer policy organizations.

Around 250 employees work for the vzbv in the heart of Berlin and at the Brussels location.

The central task of the association is to represent the interests of consumers in Germany towards politics, economy and administration and to advocate for a fair and sustainable social and economic order.

To strengthen our Legal Department team, we are looking for a:

Legal Counsel
(Part-time, 19.5 hours per week, fixed-term for 2 years)

In addition to traditional legal issues, the team also oversees the processes surrounding the many contracts that the vzbv enters into: From compliance with procurement regulations before contract conclusion, to the systematic recording of relevant contracts, to the subsequent clarification of any difficulties that may arise, the team supports the vzbv's operational contract business.

Contract law
Data protection law
Trademark and domain law
Copyright and publishing law
Freedom of information law
Association register law
Legal representation and process coordination in legal disputes concerning the association itself
