The Transition Counselor in Taylor Lake Village, TX is responsible for providing essential services to transitioning Service Members and their Family Members at the TAP Center.

This includes offering individual counseling sessions to facilitate personal interaction, address any questions or concerns, and provide assistance in creating an Individual Transition Plan (ITP).

The Transition Counselor also coordinates and facilitates local briefings, DOL Employment Workshops, and VA Benefits Briefings to meet the needs of the Soldiers.

They conduct Transition Briefings to inform clients about available transition services and eligibility requirements for transition benefits. Additionally, the Transition Counselor ensures that eligible Soldiers receive the necessary pre-separation counseling.

They work closely with each individual to develop an ITP, create a resume (federal or private sector), and establish personalized transition goals.

The Transition Counselor also educates clients about the continuum of service and provides follow-up counseling to assist in completing the deliverable for the Soldier's gap analysis.

They also identify, schedule, and conduct TAP employment assistance workshops and engage in regional outreach and pre-separation counseling.

The Transition Counselor follows the instructions of the Contract Installation Manager (CIM) to fulfill their duties in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
