    Job Description

Our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) portfolio is a powerhouse collection of consumer-first brands, supported by media industry leaders, Comcast, NBCUniversal and Sky. When you join our team, you'll work across our dynamic portfolio including Peacock, NOW, Fandango, SkyShowtime, Showmax, and TV Everywhere, powering streaming across more than 70 countries globally. And the evolution doesn't stop there. With unequalled scale, our teams make the most out of every opportunity to collaborate and learn from one another. We're always looking for ways to innovate faster, accelerate our growth and consistently offer the very best in consumer experience. But most of all, we're backed by a culture of respect. We embrace authenticity and inspire people to thrive.

The Technical Program Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of complex technology programs and projects supporting Peacock's roadmap for global expansion and scale. A strategic thinker and pragmatic problem-solver, the candidate will lead and partner across a global organization to plan and execute a broad set of portfolio initiatives focused on the ways in which our distributed teams work together through processes, tools, and communication. This role sits within the Portfolio Operations team, within the Delivery team of the Global Streaming organization. The portfolio operations team is responsible for improving and managing the ways in which we work for the several thousand professionals within the Global Streaming organization. The Global Streaming organization delivers a best-in-class, multi-tenant platform, which is syndicated to multiple international partners and available in the United States (via Peacock), in 20+ European countries (via SkyShowtime), and in 40+ African countries (via Showmax).

The Technical Program Manager will play a critical role in the portfolio operations team, responsible for driving process and tooling transformation, and change management. This role requires a strong background in program management in a technology organization. The ideal candidate will possess a breadth of technical expertise in process design and implementation, tooling implementation and configuration, and familiarity with enterprise tools used in agile software development such as Atlassian, Tableau, GitHub, and others. Success requires building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships, establishing delivery governance and plans, and managing dependencies, risks, and issues to meet overall portfolio and departmental objectives. Ability and desire to embrace challenges, create and manage change, and lead with a hands-on approach to continuously improve our delivery efficiency and effectiveness is required.

This position will report to the Senior Director, Portfolio Operations, and will work in a highly matrixed structure, interfacing with business, product, and engineering teams across NBCU, Sky, and the wider Comcast group. This position will develop subject matter expertise in areas of portfolio operations, processes, systems, tooling, reporting, and communications; and this person will provide expertise, guidance, direction, and training to their peers and to the Global Streaming organization.

    Responsibilities:
    • Lead and partner with NBCU and Sky teams across multiple geo-locations to deliver a portfolio of programs and projects focused on Portfolio Operations under Global Delivery
    • Build and maintain relationships with sponsors, understanding their goals and motivations to shape the international technology roadmap to meet business objectives
    • Establish and execute a strategic roadmap to broaden and deepen NBCUs toolset capabilities across the globe
    • Wear many hats and be prepared to embrace change
    • Demonstrate effective communication and regular reporting across the portfolio, tailored cross-functionally to all levels of the organization and to platform syndication partners
    • Provide guidance and coaching to support professional development and high performance of a multi-disciplinary, globally distributed Portfolio Operations team
    • Strive for continuous improvement in ways of working: identify, propose, and implement changes with an objective of improving delivery efficiency and effectiveness
    Qualifications
    • 6+ years experience with program management, portfolio management, consulting, ways of working, tooling transformation, strategic initiatives, and change management in a telecommunications, media, or technology company managing large-scale, complex programs
    • Broad knowledge of program and project management and agile methodologies applied in distributed and hybrid working environments
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong self-starter, ability to effectively present ideas and key insights to senior leadership, and proactive approach to delivery
    • Educated to Bachelor's degree level or equivalent, preferably in technology or engineering
    Desired Characteristics:
    • 2-5 years experience in consulting (ideally in a technical role) with demonstration of broad problem solving
    • Previous experience working within a global organization
    • Working understanding of media technology systems
    • Project, program, or agile methodology certification
    • Experience with Atlassian, Tableau, GitHub, and other enterprise tooling
    • Strong technical expertise in tooling implementation, configuration, integrations, with a particular focus on large-scale data migration
    • Atlassian Certified Professional (or equivalent in experience and direct application), with specific competencies building complex Atlassian and Scriptrunner automations, including Groovy script
