    Description

    JOB SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the PAC Director, the PAC Healing-Centered Schools Organizer will be responsible for providing support and direction to Healing-Centered Ambassadors participating in the District 9 Pilot Program. The PAC Healing-Centered Schools Organizer will prepare and maintain correspondences and reports, keep track of outreach and contact with Parent Leaders on database. The PAC Healing-Centered Schools Organizer will provide support for the PAC Director and serve as main point of contact for the Healing-Centered School Pilot.

    Job Duties include but not limited to:

    • Build meaningful relationships with PAC Leaders, Parent Ambassadors and school staff; help members connect with one another and to the Parent Action Committee.
    • Work to nurture the potential of parent leaders; help leaders improve their well-being; and provide opportunities for leaders to give back and support their school and community.
    • Coordinate meetings and facilitate with care and enthusiasm.
    • Communicate effectively with the PAC Director about daily practice procedures, emergencies, and information regarding Healing-Ambassadors.
    • Attend PAC and Healing-Centered meetings and get togethers as deemed necessary by the PAC Director.
    • Provide corrective feedback that will enhance programs success.
    • Maintain structure and focus within zoom meetings, while encouraging and promoting parents participation in as positive manner.
    • Engage parents and cultivate relationships to create a collaborative environment
    • Conduct self in a professional, friendly, helpful, courteous and diplomatic manner.
    • Follow NSCC policies and procedures; respond to emergency situations.
    • Any additional tasks and/or duties as assigned by PAC Director.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

    • Bi-lingual English/Spanish (highly preferred)
    • Strong Healing-Centered Practices
    • Strong technological and verbal/written communication skills required.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be cleared and maintain clearance throughout the duration of employment by NYC DOE fingerprinting screening.

    Employment is at will and employees will undergo 45- and 90-day check-ins during their 90-day probationary period.
