    Health Care Aide for the Child Care Program
    Grandville Education Center
    6:30 a.m.- 8:30 a.m.

    Position Available: School Year
    • JOB GOAL:
      • To provide direct care and support to student(s) identified as having complex health needs within the school setting under the direction of the district nurse and health services program.
    • REQUIREMENTS:
      • Health/Medical field experience preferred
      • Current CPR/AED/First-Aid Certification or willingness to become certified within 60 days of hire
      • Comply with all district policies and procedures
      • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
    • RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
      • Perform and manage the medical/health needs directly to students according to their Individualized Health Care Plan.
      • Works collaboratively with district nurses, families, and other educational staff in regards to student's health needs.
      • Consult and communicate with district nurses in determining appropriate care for students.
      • Participates in training sessions to update necessary skills. Training include, but not limited to: bloodborne pathogens, medication administration, CPR/First Aid.
      • Provide effective and clear communication
      • Maintain clear and accurate documentation
      • Maintains and protects confidentiality and privacy following HIPAA and FERPA protocols.
