- Design and execute cell-based studies to support identification, validation, and differentiation of small molecule protein degraders, implementing a wide variety of laboratory techniques including mammalian cell culture, Western blotting, CRISPR, RNAi, phenotypic assays, flow cytometry, etc.
- Act as the Biology Lead in efforts to advance drug discovery projects in a multidisciplinary, collaborative project team setting: perform cell-based studies and design and manage the execution of in vivo studies at CROs to achieve project goals, interpret and communicate results, and recommend next steps to the project teams.
- Build a deep understanding of our targets as they progress through the phases of drug discovery towards the clinic.
- Manage CROs for outsourced work, including in vitro and in vivo studies (no vivarium on site).
- Understand and integrate the current literature surrounding TPD and specific targets of interest
- Maintain written records of laboratory experiments, data, conclusions, and communicate results in a clear/concise manner.
- Contribute to collaborative problem solving with cross functional teamwork.
- Ph.D. in Biology or other relevant discipline, M.S. with 2+ years of experience working in an industry setting, or BS with 5+ years of experience working in an industry setting.
- Strong record of success in critical thinking and scientific creativity demonstrated by publications and/or drug discovery experience.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in independent experimental design, execution, data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Background in cancer biology is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with mammalian cell culture techniques is preferred.
- Self-motivated, willingness to learn, strong work ethic, attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in utilizing software such as Microsoft Office, GraphPad Prism, etc.
- Works well in a collaborative team-oriented environment and is capable of multi-tasking in an exciting, fast-paced environment.
