Responsibilities:
The Reckonings Project is an innovative program of collaboration to empower BIPOC communities and citizens in the preservation, creation, and curation of community histories.
The project has established strong relationships with Boston-area groups in the pursuit of this goal, and has launched a number of subprojects that are helping to surface critical history and documentation.
The Project Manager of the Reckonings Project acts as the coordinator of the project's activities, plans, relationships, and deliverables.In regular consultation with the project leads, staff, students, and community stakeholders and members, the Project Manager is the point person through which communications, schedules, and deadlines are established and maintained.
The Project Manager will ensure that grant goals are met, and that each constituency in the Reckonings Project has the tools, information, and resources to meet those goals.
This role requires strong project management skills around calendaring, communication, and collaboration.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in history or a related field, or equivalent background and experience working in public history or community relations
Strong project management skills, including planning, calendaring, task management tools (3 years minimum)
Working knowledge of Google Docs, Microsoft Office, and videoconferencing systems (Teams, Zoom) (2 years minimum)
Facility with web publication platforms (WordPress preferred) and social media platforms and posting mechanisms (1 year minimum)
