Overview The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for supervising, planning, assigning, and reviewing the work of housekeeping team members; training staff in work procedures, and coordinates all functions of the housekeeping department with the Member Services Manager. Responsible for supervising and maintaining high levels of cleanliness and upkeep, conducting inventories, and supporting a positive work environment for all team members.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and evaluate the work of assigned staff while completing assigned duties
- Inspect work in progress and upon completion to ensure the quality and completeness of work performed
- Inspect all hotel rooms, public areas, gym, restrooms, locker rooms, laundry, and office space ensuring they are serviced and cleaned daily in accordance with Fitler Club standards
- Supervise and or completes projects or deep cleaning occurring during assigned shifts
- Perform housekeeping duties
- Maintain standards of cleanliness and a consistent Member experience and ability to execute all Club's facility standards and guidelines. Exhibits hospitality while striving to exceed Member expectations
- Maintain close coordination, communication, and interaction with Member Services and Engineering to ensure all is in working order
- Inspect and maintain all public areas and guest rooms several times daily
- Assist the Housekeeping Manager with supply inventories
- Ensure cleaning checklists and schedules are administered and completed by team members accordingly
- Maintain confidentiality of all members and Club information
- Follow grooming and uniform standards established for this role
- Work as a team, effectively communicating with management and coworkers
- Ensure that member and associates areas are maintained in a safe and secure environment
- Perform all other duties as directed by immediate supervisor
Qualifications
- Previous club or hotel housekeeping supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of housekeeping operations, to include, turndown service, special needs of VIP members, inspections, safety, and health standards
- Ability to teach employees the importance of, and how to interact with internal/external members
- Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and coworkers, both in person and by telephone
- Ability to lift 2025 pounds intermittently, and occasionally 50 pounds and to frequently reach overhead, bend and kneel, stand/walk for extended times, including entire shift
- Punctuality and regular attendance
- Must be dependable and available to work within the club on weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business demands
- Must have a positive attitude, be selfmotivated, polite, and energetic
